Lesson 191RejectionMessianic Psalm

Stranger to His Brothers

The psalmist lamented being treated as a stranger by his own siblings.

Old Testament

Psalm 69:8

I am a foreigner to my own family, a stranger to my own mother's children.

New Testament

John 7:5

For even his own brothers did not believe in him.

Why This Matters

The psalmist lamented being treated as a stranger by his own siblings. Jesus experienced the same — His own brothers did not believe in Him during His earthly ministry. The Messiah's rejection began not with enemies, but at home.

Reflection

Lord Jesus, You were rejected and still loved to the end. Through Stranger to His Brothers, teach me to remain faithful when misunderstood.
