Sons of the living God applied to Messianic restoration of Israel in Midrash
This lesson explores how Hosea 1:10 connects to Jesus.
Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' there they will be called 'children of the living God.'
and, "In the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' there they will be called 'children of the living God.'"

Sons of the living God applied to Messianic restoration of Israel in Midrash
Hosea declared that those once called 'not my people' would be called children of the living God. Paul applied this to the inclusion of Gentiles in God's family—those who were once outsiders are now beloved children. The story of Scripture ends where it began: with God's relentless desire to have a people he calls his own, drawn from every nation on earth.
King eternal, let the promise in Hosea 1:10 fulfilled in Romans 9:26 stir in me longing for Your return and the restoration of all things.
