Lesson 99KingdomTypology

Gentiles Welcomed

Noah's prophecy that Japheth would dwell in Shem's tents foreshadowed Gentiles sharing in Israel's blessings.

Old Testament

Genesis 9:27

May God extend Japheth's territory; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.

New Testament

Ephesians 2:13

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Why This Matters

Noah's prophecy that Japheth would dwell in Shem's tents foreshadowed Gentiles sharing in Israel's blessings. Paul declares that those once far away have been brought near through Christ's blood.

Reflection

Lord of the future, as I study Gentiles Welcomed, anchor my hope not in circumstances but in Your coming reign.
