Pour Out My Spirit
Joel foresaw a day when God's Spirit would be poured out on all people—sons and daughters, old and young alike.
Joel 2:28
And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
Acts 2:17
'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.'
Joel foresaw a day when God's Spirit would be poured out on all people—sons and daughters, old and young alike. Peter declared this fulfilled at Pentecost when the Spirit fell on the believers and they spoke in tongues. The Spirit that once rested on select prophets and kings now fills every believer, making the entire community of faith a prophetic people.
King eternal, let the promise in Joel 2:28 fulfilled in Acts 2:17 stir in me longing for Your return and the restoration of all things.
