Lesson 137KingdomProphetic Pattern

Garments of Vengeance

Isaiah described God clothing Himself in righteousness and vengeance.

Old Testament

Isaiah 59:17

He put on righteousness as his breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.

New Testament

Revelation 19:13

He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

Why This Matters

Isaiah described God clothing Himself in righteousness and vengeance. Revelation shows Christ robed in blood-dipped garments — the Word of God who fights for justice and defeats every enemy.

Reflection

Lord, the kingdom You promised in Isaiah 59:17 is breaking in through Revelation 19:13. Make me a faithful citizen of that kingdom today.
