Feet on Mount of Olives applied to Messianic advent in Targum on Zechariah 14
This lesson explores how Zechariah 14:4 connects to Jesus.
On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.
"Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives.

Feet on Mount of Olives applied to Messianic advent in Targum on Zechariah 14
Zechariah prophesied that the Lord's feet would stand on the Mount of Olives. It was from the Mount of Olives that Jesus ascended into heaven, and the angels promised he would return the same way. The geography is precise: the exact hill Zechariah named is where Jesus departed and where the promise of his return was given. The story is not over—it awaits its final chapter.
Jesus, Ruler of all nations, through Feet on Mount of Olives expand my vision beyond this passing age to the world You are making new.
