Beautiful Feet
Isaiah celebrated the beauty of the messenger who brings good news—peace, salvation, the reign of God.
Old Testament
Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
New Testament
Romans 10:15
And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
Why This Matters
Isaiah celebrated the beauty of the messenger who brings good news—peace, salvation, the reign of God. Paul applied this to the gospel messengers who carry the news of Christ to the world. The message itself is glorious, but even the feet that carry it are called beautiful. Every person who shares the good news walks in the footsteps of Isaiah's vision.
Reflection
Lord Jesus, shape my daily life after Your ministry. As Isaiah 52:7 meets Romans 10:15, teach me to serve with compassion and truth.
