They Shall Mourn
Zechariah foresaw mourning over the one who was pierced.
Old Testament
Zechariah 12:12
The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives.
New Testament
Revelation 1:7
Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all peoples on earth will mourn because of him.
Why This Matters
Zechariah foresaw mourning over the one who was pierced. Revelation declares that every eye will see Christ — including those who pierced Him — and all peoples will mourn. The crucified one returns as the reigning King.
Reflection
King Jesus, through They Shall Mourn I see that Your reign has no end. Let Zechariah 12:12 and Revelation 1:7 lift my eyes to Your eternal throne.
