Mourning for the pierced one — each family mourns separately (Talmud Sukk. 52a)
This lesson explores how Zechariah 12:12 connects to Jesus.
The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives.
Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all peoples on earth will mourn because of him.

Mourning for the pierced one — each family mourns separately (Talmud Sukk. 52a)
Zechariah foresaw mourning over the one who was pierced. Revelation declares that every eye will see Christ — including those who pierced Him — and all peoples will mourn. The crucified one returns as the reigning King.
King eternal, let the promise in Zechariah 12:12 fulfilled in Revelation 1:7 stir in me longing for Your return and the restoration of all things.
