Lesson 168ResurrectionDirect Prophecy

The Servant Exalted

Isaiah foretold a servant who would be highly exalted.

Old Testament

Isaiah 52:13

See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.

New Testament

Philippians 2:9

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name.

Why This Matters

Isaiah foretold a servant who would be highly exalted. Paul declares that God has done exactly this — exalting Christ to the highest place with the name above every name. The suffering servant is the exalted Lord.

Reflection

Jesus, because You rose, my future is secure. Make this truth in The Servant Exalted reshape my fears and my prayers.
