Lesson 102IdentityTypology

The Firstborn Glory

Moses blessed Joseph's descendants with imagery of unstoppable strength.

Old Testament

Deuteronomy 33:17

In majesty he is like a firstborn bull; his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations, even those at the ends of the earth.

New Testament

Revelation 5:5

Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed."

Why This Matters

Moses blessed Joseph's descendants with imagery of unstoppable strength. Revelation reveals the ultimate firstborn: Christ, the Lion of Judah, who has triumphed over every power.

Reflection

Jesus, teach me to trust who You are, not just what I feel. Let Deuteronomy 33:17 and Revelation 5:5 deepen my confidence in Your name.
