Lesson 134KingdomProphetic Pattern

The Bride Husband

Isaiah identified God as the husband of His people.

Old Testament

Isaiah 54:5

For your Maker is your husband — the LORD Almighty is his name — the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.

New Testament

Revelation 21:9

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."

Why This Matters

Isaiah identified God as the husband of His people. Revelation reveals the Lamb's bride — the church, united with Christ forever. The marriage metaphor that began in Isaiah finds its ultimate wedding feast in glory.

Reflection

Lord of the future, as I study The Bride Husband, anchor my hope not in circumstances but in Your coming reign.
