Why This Matters

Balaam, a pagan prophet hired to curse Israel, instead foretold a star rising from Jacobโ€”a royal figure who would rule with a scepter. When the Magi followed a star to find the newborn king of the Jews, they were tracing a thread woven into Scripture centuries before. Even the heavens announced what Balaam foresaw: a King had risen in Israel.
