Why This Matters

Isaiah dared to envision a day when God would swallow up death forever. Paul triumphantly declares that this prophecy will be fulfilled when believers receive their resurrection bodies. Death—humanity's oldest enemy—does not get the final word. Through Jesus' resurrection, the ancient promise is set in motion: death itself will be consumed by life.

Reflection

Jesus, Ruler of all nations, through Victory Over Death expand my vision beyond this passing age to the world You are making new.
