The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah • Appendix IX
Applied to Messianic joy — laughter among the nations
This lesson explores how Psalm 126:2 connects to Jesus.
When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy.
So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

Applied to Messianic joy — laughter among the nations
The psalmist celebrated the overwhelming joy of restoration after exile. Jesus promises His followers the same pattern — present grief will give way to a joy that no one can take away.
Lord of Life, where I feel weary, breathe new courage into me. Let Psalm 126:2 and John 16:22 remind me death is not the end.
