Why This Matters

Malachi prophesied that a messenger would come to prepare the way for the Lord. Mark opens his Gospel by identifying John the Baptist as that messenger. Just as a herald goes before a king, John called Israel to repentance so that hearts would be ready to receive the Messiah when he arrived.

Lord, give me courage to speak life, mercy, and hope. Through Messenger Before Messiah, train my hands and words for Your mission.
