Why This Matters

Jeremiah gave the coming king a remarkable name: 'The LORD Our Righteousness.' Paul explains that Christ has become our righteousness—not a righteousness we earn but one we receive. We cannot make ourselves right before God, but Jesus can. He is the righteous king Jeremiah promised, and his righteousness becomes ours through faith.

Reflection

Son of God, form my heart around Your truth. Through The Lord Our Righteousness, help me live as one who belongs to You.
