Why This Matters

Isaiah described God's Servant as a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles. When Simeon held the infant Jesus in the temple, he recognized him as this promised light—a revelation not just for Israel but for all nations. God's salvation was never meant for one people alone; from the beginning, the Messiah was destined to illuminate the whole world.

Reflection

Jesus, send me with Your heart for people. Let Light to the Nations move me from admiration into obedience.
