God Dwells Among Us
Zechariah proclaimed that God Himself would come and dwell among His people.
Old Testament
Zechariah 2:10
Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you, declares the LORD.
New Testament
John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Why This Matters
Zechariah proclaimed that God Himself would come and dwell among His people. John declares this fulfilled — the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. God's promise to live with us became real in Jesus.
Reflection
Son of God, form my heart around Your truth. Through God Dwells Among Us, help me live as one who belongs to You.
