Vinegar for thirst; John 19:28 — 'I thirst'; also covered by #54 Gall and Vinegar Offered

At the cross, soldiers offered Jesus wine mixed with gall, a bitter, numbing drink. Even this seemingly minor act of mockery was foretold centuries earlier, underscoring how completely the details of the crucifixion had been written in advance.
Lamb of God, keep the cross central in my heart. Let Psalm 69:21 fulfilled in Matthew 27:34 shape my worship and repentance.
