Hosea prophesied that Israel would seek David their king in the last days.
Old Testament
Hosea 3:5
Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the LORD and to his blessings in the last days.
New Testament
Luke 1:32
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.
Why This Matters
Hosea prophesied that Israel would seek David their king in the last days. Gabriel announced that Jesus would receive David's throne. The king Hosea foresaw is Christ — the ultimate David.
Reflection
Jesus, Son of David, Son of Abraham — through David My Servant, deepen my trust in the faithfulness of God across generations.
