Vayyikra R. 14 — child born before Zion travails; Messiah before oppressor
This lesson explores how Isaiah 66:7 connects to Jesus.
Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son.
She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.

Vayyikra R. 14 — child born before Zion travails; Messiah before oppressor
Isaiah prophesied a miraculous birth — a son delivered before labor pains. Revelation identifies this child as the one who rules all nations, snatched to God's throne. The Messiah's birth defied natural order.
Lord Jesus, as I study Born Before the Pain, anchor my identity in You, the promised King revealed from Isaiah 66:7 to Revelation 12:5.
