Sorrow Repaid with Joy
Moses prayed that God would repay suffering with equal joy.
Old Testament
Psalm 90:15
Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.
New Testament
Revelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
Why This Matters
Moses prayed that God would repay suffering with equal joy. Revelation promises the total elimination of sorrow. In Christ, every affliction is answered with eternal gladness.
Reflection
King Jesus, through Sorrow Repaid with Joy I see that Your reign has no end. Let Psalm 90:15 and Revelation 21:4 lift my eyes to Your eternal throne.
