Cleansing and New Spirit
Ezekiel prophesied cleansing with water and a new spirit.
Old Testament
Ezekiel 36:25
I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.
New Testament
John 3:5
Jesus answered, "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit."
Why This Matters
Ezekiel prophesied cleansing with water and a new spirit. Jesus told Nicodemus that entering God's kingdom requires being born of water and the Spirit — Ezekiel's prophecy describes the new birth Christ makes possible.
Reflection
King Jesus, through Cleansing and New Spirit I see that Your reign has no end. Let Ezekiel 36:25 and John 3:5 lift my eyes to Your eternal throne.
